The Saline Community Garden is an organization dedicated to community building and healthy living. We provide a gathering space for friends and neighbors coming together to grow fruits and vegetables promoting healthy eating and exercise while celebrating our great historic community, local arts, and culture.

The garden plots are full for this year. We've begun work already moving 40 yards of soil into the new beds (and topping off the old ones). Our garden 'opening' date is set for May 10 at 10am where new garden members will be meeting, getting information for the year, and then being taught by a master gardener about how to begin planting in their beds and answering any questions.
Also, we need volunteers for this years garden committee- please let us know if you'd like to join in, green thumb is not a requirement!!
March 2008
Applications are coming in! There is very limited availability at this point, but
we're still taking them. If you have turned in an application, look for contact from us in the next couple of weeks with information on what plot you have received, and other important information. If you have been put on a wait-list, there will also be information about another garden location if you are interested.
As always, we are looking for volunteers, if you would like to help, we are specifically looking for help with treasury/bookkeeping/fundraising and work with non profit status. But, any skills are welcome! Please contact us if you are interested!
Also, check the calendar, dates are beginning to form for this spring and summer's events. Most importantly we will need help for our soil delivery in April- bring your shovels and wheelbarrows!
